Terms and conditions

By booking with Katie Vaughan Photography , you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions: 

1.Payments: No booking is valid until the booking fee is received. All booking fees are non- refundable.
 

2. Cancellation: All booking fees are non-refundable after 14 days from when the payment is received. (If your session is within the 14-day period then the 14-day refund does not apply). Booking fees are needed to secure the booking date and failure to attend the session results in the photographer’s loss. If the client shall cancel due to sickness, then the deposit may be carried over to another session date at the discretion of the photographer, if the session is rescheduled within 14 days of the original session date. Failure to reschedule in time or to attend the rescheduled session will result in the clients booking fee being lost.
 

3. Failure to perform: If the photographer cannot perform this agreement due to an event that is out of the photographer’s hands, the photographer’s illness, the illness of the photographer’s children, in the event that photographic materials are damaged, lost through camera or computer malfunction the photographer shall return the amount paid to the client but shall have no further liability with respect to the agreement. In the event the photographer fails to perform for any other reason, the photographer shall not be liable for any amount in excess of the retail value of the client’s order.
 

4. Liability: The photographer is not responsible for any injuries inflicted upon any participating parties. The client will be responsible for their children and for themselves and will waive, disclaim and release Katie Vaughan Photography from all actions, claims or demands that they may have now or in the future, including those related to injury, damage, loss or destruction of property.
 

5. Reshoot policy. A reshoot will be offered in the unfortunate event of the photographer’s equipment malfunctioning. A reshoot will not be offered due to an uncooperative subject or in any situation that is out of the photographer’s control. If the client is unhappy with the images, then a reshoot may be offered at a discounted price if the reshoot is booked within 14 days. Any reshoot sessions are determined at the discretion of the photographer.
 

6. Copyright. Any images or copies of are protected by copyright and design act 1988. All original files and copyrights shall remain the property of the photographer. Any portion of the work delivered to the client is for the client’s personal use only and the client may not
sell or authorise the sale of any portion of the work without the photographer’s written consent. Images cannot be altered, cropped, converted or filters be added. Katie Vaughan Photography reserves the right to us any imagery captured for sales and/or marketing purposes, if you do not consent for your images to be used, please inform Katie Vaughan Photography at the time of booking. 

7. Prices. The charges in this agreement are based on current session fees for this shoot. Prices
and packages may be adjusted periodically, and sessions shall be charged at the prices in effect at the time when the session is booked. The number of people present for a session will also be at the photographer’s discretion and the photographer may not perform the session if extra people turn up without notice.
 

8. Viewing images. Once images have been edited you will have the opportunity to view them and choose your package. You will be required to choose and pay for your images within 7 days of viewing, unless otherwise agreed. The photographer cannot store customer files for long period of time and so any images that are not purchased may be deleted after this time.
 

9. Consent. If a minor child is present for photoshoot, I certify I am legally able to give consent for them to be photographed.
